I've been been going trough post after post for days now and suffering from what I think is Auto immune ( something ) As we all know , when somethings just not right !!!!
Here's where I need YOU ! Punch Biopsy ~~~ Do you have to be in a flare for a positive ? Can it be done any where on the body or is one place better then another ? I do have what looks like a rash across my shoulders and upper arms ( bumps ) alittle red , raised , but not doing much and have been there for awhile now. I'm thinking this might be the only way to get this answer ! I have had many Lupus panels over the last few yrs all neg,but many sx of Lupus ! So any info would be helpful ! PS ... Any thing I should know about a Punch Biopsy ? Thanks again xxxxx ANGIE Posted on 06/12/12, 05:55 pm |

I have had a Keyes punch biopsy (dermal). For me they did the bx because I had the rash for a while, kept coming back. I worked for OB-GYN, we would Keyes punch bx on vulvar area too.

Yes I had a punch biopsy done in dermatologist office. They did it on my upper chest and on my right upper arm. They were both conclusive positive for SLE. Good luck!
