Hi Im sorta new here so you all may not know my whole situation but I have a nodule on my lung thats cancerous and then my PET scan showed 8 lymphnoids going down in between my lungs well I went had the biopsy and the results are in the lymphoids are not cancerous and I guess Im now operable again they want to do a Lung Resection on me which I was so happy to hear that the lymphnoids where not cancerous that only the spot on my lung was I was overjoyed and signed the consent to have this surgery done on 11/4/09 and after I got home and read all the papers that I so quickly signed they have now scared the living shit outta me has anyone had this done? Or know someone who has? Any info or advice would be great. Thanks so much for all your support dd

" Hi Soafraid--I am so sorry to hear you are dealing with this horrible monster. Lung cancer took the life of my father three years ago--his cancer had spread to the lymphnodes and he was inoperable...already in stage 3B with absolutely no symtomps. You are very lucky and blessed, you may not be feeling that way right now, but the cancer has not spread and they can get that out of there with surgery--I met several folks who had this done and they did very well--I have also done some work with the American Cancer Society and have come into contact with lung resection patients--the odds are in your favor if you are a candiate for this surgery. I just noticed the date of your post and the date of your surgery so you may be in the hospital right now. I wish you all of the luck in the world -- I would love to know how things went if you had the surgery done....good luck and God Bless. "
