My name is Deb and Ive been on D.S. for quite a while now for Hep C but now I just got diagnosed with Lung cancer and had surgery to have these scopes put down my neck they cut my throat open to do so, and it hurts like hell. I realize that some of you may be way ahead of me in your tx, and was hoping that someone can tell me there's hope of surviving this or should I prepare myself for the worst. Thanks for any advice. debbie

" I'm 57 and have Stage IV lung cancer. you can read back through my journal and see my progress. I did the chemo and radiation when diagnosed in 2008 - lost my hair - but didn't lose my determination. I am grateful for each day and thank God I am stilll alive. It is not hopeless - just a bump in your path. Keep me posted if you have any questions. "

" Afternoon,

Have been fighting this battle since Feb. '09. Had lobetomy, biopsy proved Stage 3a adenocarcinoma, chemo and radiation and am still here doing great, feeling great thanks to my God. I thank him twice a day, when I awake, and when I go to sleep. Just ask for moments of peace, and God will deliver, maybe even more than you ask for...may God bless and be with you. "

" Never prepare for the worst - always prepare for the best! I was siagnosed with Stage IV lung cancer in 4/08 - was told I had abut 6 weeks if I took no action. So I did - chemo to the lung and radiation to the brain. It was not easy - but I had nothing to lose. I am still working and looking forward to tomorrow. I am taking no treatmnt at the moment but am open for it should it become necessary. Live your life - don't delay! Good luck - my prayers are with you. "
