Hi everyone!
I am new here. My name is Jan. Last year in March my oldest sister was diagnoised with NSLC. She had surgery, and as of today she is doing very well. My concern is that I had to have a heart CT done for a heart condition I have. During this CT they found a small 2mm nodule in my lower right lung. When they told me this I freaked out! The doctors then told me it was nothing to worry about. How do they know if it is nothing to worry about? To calm my nerves they then told me to have another CT scan done in a year to check on the nodule. Does that sound right to wait a year? Should I look into this further now, or wait? What type of doctor do I see concerning this. I have never smoked, however I have been around heavy, heavy second hand smoke my whole life between family members smoking and working in a night club for years. Any advise anyone can give me would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance for all your help. Wishing you all well, and wishing you all enough... Posted on 08/11/09, 08:08 pm |

I can totally understand your concern. You do need a clearer explanation of this, IMO. I would return to that doctor and and tell her/him what you said here. If not satisfied take scan results to a 2nd opinion... Good luck. This is a pertinent question to early recovery.
