Advice:
Cisplatin and radiation

My oncologist chose a treatment plan that is 2 rounds of aggressive chemo of Cisplatin and VP-16 (daily for five days) and radiation every day for 28 treatments. I actually worked for this practice for five years some time ago but I dont know enough about the drugs and the specific types of cancer I just clicked on a link from here to read that most Cisplatin patients will eventually relapse with a cisplatin resistant disease. I suppose that's why there's oxalaplatin and paclitaxel for those. It's not very encouraging to read this while I'm feeling so well at the moment. I know in 2 weeks I'll be feeling the effects of the last round but to have to go through this again is something I may not want to do. There are a lot of entries I should look through in here.

Has anyone had a relapse and had to do chemo again with any of the other platinum based drugs? And how long before you relapsed?
