Hey all..I am brand new. My name is Melissa and I have been in an on and off complicated relationship with my boyfriend Clay for almost 9 months. I live in California and he lives in Neveda. We have only seen each other one time in person but we skype every night. It wasn't always smooth with us..We have fought over small things alot and we have broken up a few times but we always talk during those break ups. I love him more then any other guy and I really want to make it work but it is really hard dealing with the lonely nights and missing him constantly. To things worse, he is planning to join the Air Force in a year or two so if we do stay together, I know that our entire relationship will change. It is hard not having anyone close to me who understands what its like to be in a long distance relationship so I am hoping to make some friends through this.

I know exactly what you're going through and you're story is strikingly similar to mine. Me and my S/O have been "together" for about a year and a half and it's been extremely rocky aswell. Lots of fights, also over little things, but mostly stemming from our one break up. Just like you're bf joining the air force, I'll be moving to Vermont for college, putting an even bigger strain on our relationship.(He lives in Cali also and I in New Mexico) So I know where you stand in a familiar way in that. I won't be able to any closer to him unless I decide to transfer to him and I also have only seen him once, twice soon to be in June.
