I'm one of a handful of pepole I know who remains Iphone/Ipod/Ipad less. Hopefully I'll get one one day but for now I'll have to do without. My dad's been kind enough to let me stay on his plan, and since my old phone currently still works that's good enough for me. I heard on the money issue of sumday morning a few weeks ago that people are in increasing numbers using their phones for payments and cash, cards, and coins are increasingly becoming obsolete.

The demographic most left out of this technical change is the poor. Sometimes I fear this kind of change and being left out of the loop. Let me know what you think/feel about this. Thanks for listening.

" I don't have one either and it is not about money. I don't like all the distraction that technology takes away from real social interaction with people. I have a smart phone, but when I am with people I don't even look at it. I don't have email, music, facebook, or anything else on it. Enjoy having less distraction than the average person, might give you a change to meet more people - don't worry about being left out, technology changes constantly so you could catch up if you really wanted to but I don't personally see the need. " I think people need to put those things down, and drive their cars,
and look around and talk to each other, and live their lives.

It is such an escape from everything. I saw a man on a bicycle, talking on his cell phone over the week-end. What a way to ruin
a bike ride.

I bought a house several months ago, and I haven't been this broke since i was a single parent in the 80's. I do have a Net 10
phone and I text funny things sometimes. The commercials where the actors are having a witty exchange with "Siri" is just
weird. Siri is not a person. "
