My son has finally finished chelation for lead.

We have seen great changes in him. He is able to experience a full range of emotions (in the past he was happy or furious and would get stuck at furious for long periods of time.) He has become so much more flexible in life. In the past he could not handle anything unexpected or a change in routine.

We originally had him tested using a releasing agent to reveal if heavy metals were in his tissues (not just in his blood stream which is the typical finger prick test but it only could show recent exposure) We tried a cream chelating regimine but it did not make much progress. we then went to an oral chelating agent. We knew it was working bcause when he first started taking it his ability to think was affected. (we called it the dimmer switch because it seemed like all the lights were not on in his brain) We also used biofeedback to reconnect the neural pathways and rebalances the different parts of the brain that were previously not communicating well with each other.

My daughter is almost done and i will post her success story when it is complete.

I encourage any parent or individual who has any suspicion of learning difficulties to explore heavy metal toxicity.

" Hi I have a 2 year old who I was told had autistic syptoms, turns out I found out he had elevated lead levels in his body. His level was 13. We have been treating him with chelation and see a huge difference in just 3 weeks.. Can lead look like symptoms of autism? "

" I am so happy that your son was diagnosed so early. He should blossom and any developmental delays will easily be overcome!

Yes lead toxicity can appear like autism. It is like placing road blocks along the nerve pathways so messages do not come and go as they should. It can affect brain processing and coordination. In my daughter it was more in academic and coordination in my son it was more social development.
Have you been able to find the source of lead? It can be passed through prgnancy so perhaps you should be checked. In you it could be all settled into you tissues so be sure and be tested using a method that administers a chelating agent prior to testing. You should also test his toys and your dishes and such. email me anytime if you have more questions. "

" Thank you Julie:)

I was so upset when they gave my son an autistic labelat 21 months old. Now I know he has lead because I took him to a Holistic doctor and he ordered a urine toxity test, lead only showed after administering a a chelating agent. He's taking a pill once a week and already his speech and eye contact are improving. Your right I'm going to get tested myself. If I passed it to him in my pregnancy, is it to late for him to be a typical child at this point? He's 2 now, I'm so scared. "

YES! Your son can be completely "Normal". Or whatever God made him to be. His "disabilities" will disappear. Because he is so young, he will likely zoom past any developmental delays that you have seen. he may need some occupational or speech therapy or whatever to help with some of that but wait until he has eliminated all lead and then have him assessed. My daughter was not diagnosed until she was eight. She had to have vision therapy and some biofeedback to help get all of the nerve pathways to be used by the brain. My son was eleven. HIs lead levels were much lower but he improved greatly with only some biofeedback. You have not described how severe his delays (or "autistic" behaviors) are but here are some generalized ideas.
My advice would be to play with your son alot (resaerch developmenatl play therapy). Use different modalities to encourage him to try new things. Go back and do some crawling activities (great for cross coordination) play follow the leader, play crawl chase. encourage jumping and hopping. Celebrate every movement. Some games played by younger children will be great for him like peak a boo and steam roller. Swinging is great for spatial awareness. I could go on and on but I'm sure you get the idea. Be aware that he could become tired more easily so sleep is super important now while his body is working so hard on removing the lead. Keeping a regular routine will help in establishing regulalar nap and night sleep if that is an issue. the more structure you can provide now will help him come out of himself. I cannot wait to hear about the amazing little boy he is blossoming into! "
