Lactagen® - Has Anyone Tried It Yet?

I read about this Lactagen® stuff in the News section here on Daily Strength. I'm just wondering if any of you have tried the stuff yet, and if you could share your opinions or comments on it. I'm a natural skeptic, so when a product for LI proclaims it's a one-time program (powder taken daily for 38 days, then you're done with the program) and that after you complete it, you can eat dairy again with no problems... well, naturally, I'm skeptical. But I'm not stupid, either, and I do know that science and medicine continues to make progress on many things, so it's not impossible that something like this Lactagen may indeed work as it claims. But I'd like to hear from someone here, or one of our doctors that visit our boards occasionally, to hear opinions and comments before trying it. Especially when it costs $149 for that "one-time program".

" I don't know about anyone else but I don't have any interest in eating dairy again. I admit it's tempting but my allergies and asthma are so much better than even if I could digest it, I think it might make my other conditions worse. I continue to eat this way for health reasons. I am curious though so keep me posted. "

" I am certainly interested int his product. I read the website and the clinical info sheet. Sounds promising...I like you am a skeptic, but they do have a money back guarantee. I just don't know if I want to spend $150 for it, but on the same token, how much do we spend on vitamins, herbs, lactose free products, and things like lactaid pills? It'd probably work out pretty cost effectively. "

" My entire family and I have completed the program...and it is legit. It really works. When I called and talked to someone from the company they explained to me that the founder of the company has now be symptom free for now 12 years or something crazy like that??? I was skeptical too, but whats there to lose? If it didn't work they guaranteed my money back, and if it did then I would be symptom free...so it sounded like it was worth a shot. I have now been symptom free for 3 years and hope to push for more. All my family has compeleted the program and have not had any difficulties since. Please- I would be more then happy to share my experience in more detail with anyone who is curious! let me know and take care!! :) "

" From my understanding after talking with the people who work for the company before I did the program they explained it to me as a flavorless powder mix that you take for just 38 days and at the end of the 38 days it is suppose to retrain your body/bacteria inside your body to be able to tolerate dairy again. I guess kind of like strengthening and utilizing what is already inside your body rather then creating an artificial enzyme like the pills do?? So it just taught my body to tolerate dairy without using that enzyme that I lack (as well as other lactose intolerant people). Does that make sense? Sorry I dont know exact technical terms haha but that is kind of what it does to your body! "

" I recently stopped taking lactaid and did the lactagen program too. It actually seriously helped me and now I can drink all the milk I want. I feel like a normal person again, but it’s weird- every time I bring it up to people no one seems to know much about it?? "
