I steal money

I'm not sure if this is the best group for me, but it was the best I found. Here's the deal. I have a problem w/ stealing money. W/n the last year its gone from bad to worse. Last Aug I was at a house party that my gf invited me to. I ended up stayin the nite & long story short the next morning, I took the host's wallet. I think I did it looking for cash, idk. But anyway, there wasn't any cash & I thought about tossing the wallet but didn't. A few weeks later, I used a credit card in the wallet to buy a laptop online. Fast forward I went to court handled all that stuff but it definately caused drama w/ me & my girl. We stopped talking for a while but then started back, but she kept it a secret from her friends. Anyway, fast forward even more, I took my gf's wallet on her birthday (of all days)! Took the cash & got rid of her wallet. She has since found out, because I left her id, social card, & bcertificate in my drawer. I kept the cuz i wanted to give them back. I felt horrible about taking her wallet but didn't have the guts to confess it. Anyway, I don't know how to stop this. It caused me to lose the greatest woman I've ever had in my life.
