Hello All,

I'm a fellow Kidney Stoner. I also suffer from MSK. I'm attending STCC (Springfield Technical Community College). One of my classes (English) is having us do a research project. I thought what better then to do a project on kidney stones. I work in a urologist office so I have interviewed a Physician and now need to conduct a survey. I have listed 5 yes or no questions below & 1 work of advice. If you could be so kind and send a reply with your answer I would appreciated it! Thank you and be well!

1. Have you found that diet and nutrition has helped with preventing your kidney stones?

2. Have you had to have surgery to get rid of the kidney stone(s)?

3. Have you suffered from more than one kidney stone?

4. Have you used flomax to help pass a kidney stone?

5. Did you need pain medication suffered?

6. Do you have any words of advice for those who suffer from kidney stones?

THANK YOU FOR ALL WHO HAVE HELPED!

" 1. Have you found that diet and nutrition has helped with preventing your kidney stones?

So far, the only thing that helped was baking soda once a day, because of my RTA.

2. Have you had to have surgery to get rid of the kidney stone(s)?

No, they have all been very small, less than 3mm.

3. Have you suffered from more than one kidney stone?

I think I have had about 20-30 stones in the past 4 years.

4. Have you used flomax to help pass a kidney stone?

Yes. I did NOT like it. It made me really dizzy even 10 hours later.

5. Did you need pain medication suffered?

Yes...I've used the OTC numbing medication a lot, but narcotic as well.

6. Do you have any words of advice for those who suffer from kidney stones?

Lots of water, thorough testing by your urologist and numbing medicine...it helps me be able to go to work! "
