Anyone here on HIPREX for prevention of UTIs?

Hello board,
I am new and wanted to introduce myself. Was diagnosed with kidney stones via ultrasound, CTscan and Xray.
I have 3 small non-obstructive stones lodged in my right kidney. All of them under 4mm, and too small to pulverize with shockwave.
My urologist suggested a Ureteroscopy, which I turned down as I have read it requires full anesthesia, a stent, and a few days recovery.
He now is advocating a 24 hour urine test to figure out the stone composition and I will be doing that over the weekend.
He also prescribed Hiprex (Methenamine) to manage my recurrent UTIs.
I am supposed to take two pills a day, pretty much forever.
On this note, it appears my problem is common during menopause and related to low estrogen levels.
Anyone here with the same problems?
