Hi, I'm new to this group and have passed 10 stones in 3 years. I am a female and 26 years old. I was given a prescription for Flomax, but am aprehensive about taking this medication because it is not FDA approved for women. I was just wondering if there are any women in this group that have taken Flomax before and if you could share your experience with me.

I have been taking Flomax off & on for over 6 years now. I know exactly how you feel, I wasn't sure about taking either. I have never had problems or side effects from it. It makes a BIG difference helping me to pass my stones. I am trying to pass yet another big stone right now do I have been taking for the past 11 days. I also now of several other women who take it as well. Hope this helps! Good luck!

Well my friend becky who is my age 31 has passed stones like me and was offered flomax but, seclined it because of your reason. I saw a prescriptipn drug dealer at my urologist's office a couple of weeks ago with samples she was giving the receptionist for patients. I wouldn't trust it just yet.
