    Thursday, March 6, 2008 | A Rambling story

I got sick Tuesday.  Fever, aches, etc.  Went to the doctor and the abscess on my breast is staph.  Feels more like I got run over by a truck.  She also said that the staph is what is making my face break out.  Jess has been borrowing my makeup so I called the pediatrician to see if she needs to be put on a pretentative round of antibiotics.  They haven't called ...

    Thursday, April 10, 2008 | A Rambling story

The stone that I thought I passed a week or so ago has still not been born!  It's stuck.  I got sicker than hell Monday and went back to the doctor.  She said my urine was full of blood and pus.......UGH!  I got an antibiotic shot and a shot of demerol+phenergan.  She gave me a Rx of Mepergan (thank GOD) because I've spent the last 2 days on the couch in complete ...

  • old mom

    Sunday, April 13, 2008 | A Rambling story

Indeed I am getting older. The only thing bad about being an old mom is it may be hard on the kids being asked if I'm thier grandma, lol. I'm slower for sure, but when I was faster, I was stupider and thought there were things as important as my kids. They are only children for a short time, it makes such a difference in their lives for me to be there for them.

    Wednesday, April 23, 2008 | A Rambling story

I just spoke to the editor of a local small town paper, that seems to frequently print some form of the truth. Anywho, during the conversation I vioced my concern that there me a very harmful and totally untrue rumor in local circulation, his reply, "well this is a small town".  Hmm, so that makes it okay for people to tell foolish lies that could well be of harm to eve...

  • New Dx!

    Wednesday, April 23, 2008 | A Rambling story

I went to the doc today for my monthly check-up.  I had 4 items on my list of things to discuss with her.
    1.  I'm retaining so much fluid it's ridiculous.  I don't mind my lips being a little puffy....ppl pay a lot of money for that! But the whole face?  Not so much.  So she switched my BP medication and added a diuretic.  Problem solved.

  • MRIs, police reports, and ex-husbands!

    Friday, May 9, 2008 | A Rambling story

Ok, this is gonna sound crazy, but I'm really afraid that they won't find anything on my MRI and I KNOW something is wrong.  Is that stupid, or what???
I FINALLY got the police report for my stolen pain meds.  It's only been 11 days since I filed it. UGH!  Now I have to take off work Monday morning, pay another $20 copay to the doc, and pay for another Rx.  That jus...

Well... First off.... I got a rash all over me, I was thinking no... it's not Steven Johnsons syndrome but I ask them,  how do you know it's not? And they say, we don't know, there's no way to test for it. WHAT THE F*? So how do you know that's not what I have?? I got up and discharged myself. I never do that. But I was so stressed out at this point, and I didnt want to s...

  • When you reach the bottom there is only one way to go

    Tuesday, July 29, 2008 | A Rambling story

The group did not play for the fund raiser of the women who was shot by her husband.  The organizers for some reason moved in into a bar and then had a poker run to go with it.  One of the members of my husband's group is just 17 and they did not want to take him into that atmosphere plus them being gospel bluegrass that might not have turned out too well.  We did not have chur...

    Saturday, August 16, 2008 | A Rambling story

    Hi all,
My name is Moya...and I am PKU.  I have just signed up on this site yesterday and I am looking into meeting as many new friends as possible.  I never had friends that were PKU until I started to go back on diet.  I always thought I was the only one in the world who had PKU and I am so glad I am not.  What is funny is that I met my husband thru my dietician.  Yes, h...
