I've had numerous problems with my eyesight since as long as I can remember and no doctor has been able to figure out what is wrong with me. Mom saw a special on the news about a lady that has keratoconus and it sounded like she had a lot of the symptoms as I have. I havent done much reading up on it simply because Im afraid of getting my hopes up again about finding out whats wrong with me and then it not being what it is. Can you guys tell me what ur symptoms are?? And how you were diagnosed? It would mean a lot to me!!!
Thanks,
Alicia Rose

" My symptoms can on kind of quick I was reading and noticed that my vision had gotten worse. I went to the eye doc and he said I needed glasses. I decided that I didn't want glasses and went in for laser surgery. At the appointment he did a topography of my eye and said that I could not have the surgery because of this eye disease. Had he done the surgery I would have needed cornea transplant in both eyes.
Basically I am light sensitive, have moments of vertigo, see extra edges on things and have big flairs around lights. Lots of headaches and crappy vision.
Keratoconus means the thinning and coning of your corneas. Your corneas become thin and because of this basically bulge. It is a little hard to explain. Ask you eye doc. when you go in. They can spot this if they look. My first doc. didn't. If you feel like you need a second opinion than get one. I wish you luck and hope you find out soon.
A topography could answer a lot of questions it might be spendy but worth the answers. "
