Hi, I'm new here. Can anyone recommend IBS meds that really work, and that don't make you feel sleepy/dopey all the time?
Thanks so much.

" Thanks for the quick response "argus" :)
Actually I have been taking 3-6 fibre capsules/day for many years, and lately they seem to be making things worse. I have stopped taking them and just eating 2 apples or 1/2 cup of blueberries/day for fibre.
What is "florastor"?
Thanks,
Karen "

" I've started taking Align. I can't vouch for it yet, after only about a week, but something has definitely changed a bit. I try to eat LOTS of veggies. $30 for 28 pills. Take one per day.

" Hi,
I've had IBS for many yrs. Comes and goes. When I have a flare up I take Levsin, and immodiom. I am also afraid to eat more than toast, jello, applesauce and bananas. Remember to drink lots of water when you have a flare up so that you won't dehydrate. "
