Definitely dizziness, also increased and at times uncontrolable urination. I must see my gyn ASAP about all of this! Also, bumps on my butt, I think from the diarrhea, even though I am very CLEAN. Have you been checked for Fibromyalgia? You have some of the symptoms, i.e. numbness in hands. Please get checked for this. I have it. I am just getting over a "Fibro attack." It feels like I have the flu when this occurs.
I want to try Align for IBS.

The diarrhea and allergy-type symptoms make it sound like you could possibly have a problem with dairy. Have you tried an allergy/elimination diet?

Yes my D is often done with nasal-type allergy symptoms. When I have nausea it's a sign that abdominal cramps will also soon be appearing.

I believe the avoidance of salt in my diet and drinking kombucha tea everyday has removed most of these symptoms from my life. Now I only get symptoms when I overeat or when the weather changes from hot to cool or vice versa. I even eat salads and fruits these days without any symptoms.

I definitely agree with some of your symptoms and those of others who have posted. On the day of, or usually, the day after, an incident of diarrhea, I usually feel exhausted, and stuffy (as if I had a slight cold) and have very little appetite; and then I experience feelings of anxiety and panic - sleep problems, feelings of hot or cold, and just an overall feeling of fear. I also get the feelings of abdominal tightness a lot.

i get fatigue with my ibs c i read that sufferers from ibs often get other symptoms not related to bowels such as dizziness which you mentioned, fatigue comes with ibs/cfs and fm, i also have fm, but now it's under control and when i get a flare up it's very mild, or maybe because i got used to it, i've been hospitalized for severe ibs c, i can go for months without bm, i think in ibs it's common, i had a colonoscopy , blood tests and ultrasound, and tsh levels all clear... i had also gyn exams being a woman these symptoms can be a tumor from the womb or ovaries . but it came clear i did ca 125 along with tvu tests and a smear. requested a laparoscopy but gyn didn't recommand it to me since he didn't find any abnormalities in the palpation of my ovaries... i have experianced loss of apetite due to depression when i got my depression under control now i get hungry all the time, and less tired..reading from this sitethen i'm not alone to get non bowel symptoms with my ibs, my doctors (VISITED a gi doctor with several other gps) say that my fatigue is related to ibs, after another cbc , esr and tsh , also hiv were tested , all clear. anyone who wish to share discussions with me about ibs i would like to hear, as i'm undergoing a lot of emotional problems since the severity of my ibs and fibro kicked it two years ago but fibro became less of a problem that for me it's like it's just resolved itself , now ibs is my new nightmare. by the way i also feel hotter than i'm supposed to, my parents at times swith off air conditioner they say the air is cool and i like ignoring them and tell them to put it on , it's too hot, but itseems like other people feel normal....ibs can be really troubeling....today it disrupted my driving concentration (i'm in a flare up) than God i did't get hurt... i hate ibs!!

Not sure if anyone else has mentioned this but the numbness in the hands could be caused by hyperventilation. If you stress out too bad knowing your gonna get sick then you may be hyperventilating (also causes facial numbness or tingling and dizziness)

Its actually quite a relief to read this because I have in the last months developed some weird ' other symptonms' - Now almost always when I eat my nose runs, if things are bad it seems to run more. I also recently got some weird sinus type pressure on my nose.

Throughout the entire time I have had IBS I also often feel like I have a temperature when I eat and I have always had periods of extreame tiredness - when you cant even lift the kettle to make tea! and I often get tingling in my hands and feet.

I'am new to the site. I am 50 yrs young. I have had i.b.s. since the age of 12 yrs. that's when i became a young lady and i got this monthly visitor who would always bring the i.b.s-d with her. I have always had all the miserable symptoms and the symptoms would always get worse with my periods. However, about 11/2 yrs ago I started menopause and i stopped having symptoms 90% of the time! That's also when I stopped having periods. I recently had a close sister diagnosed with stage 2 cervicle cancer. I 've been very stressed over it and my i.b.s.-d has now returned. I was wondering has anyone experienced feet aching with attacks? this is how I know I will soon be hurting in the restroom and have to watch what i eat or drink.

Nausea and vomiting? YES, absolutely. And I am terrified of it too, because I usually pass out from the pain. Last time I brought up everything I had eaten in the first two rounds, and then had the "dry heaves", wretching up just bile, every 20 min. for 5 hrs. It was soooooo horrible. I woke up on the bathroom floor, with blood everywhere. I cut my face, and it has left a scar! bummer!
