Is anyone else taking this drug for IBS and does it help? My doc told me it is suppose to be better than Immodium AD but I cant tell much difference.

I have taken Bentyl in the past, and out of all the medications I have taken, it has been the best help. Usually it's prescribed if you have a lot of cramping. Is that the case?

It is NOT good for constipation. It stops the spasming in your bowels so it can cause constipation to get worse.

What I meant was if you have any constipation problems do not use it. i'm not sure if it helps diarrhea, but its more for cramps than anything
