since i have a slow system and had been feeling ill, i thought i would try psyllium husk. Today would be my 6th day of taking it, but i started feeling odd. On day 1 i got dizzy, on day 2 a feeling of a little heat and nausea, on day 3 or 4 my arms (only) had a heat sensation, then yesterday i had extreme heat on my backside, under my bra stap and some slight pain under my left shoulder blade. I didnt sleep well as I felt odd and now am getting anxious. This AM i felt really bad, my whole back feels like i have a heating pad on high. When i went to the bathroom i had a healthy bowel and it seem to go away, but only for a few minutes, it is lingering now.

has anyone ever had this? i am going to stop taking this to see if it clears up...i am really jittery and feel like someone rubbed bengay on my back.

" I take psyllium regularly and have no problem with it, but if you have an allergy, you should stop taking it. Fortunately, there are alternatives such as metamucil and benefiber. I use all three, each on a different day, and this schedule has really helped me. I also drink lactose-free milk, "

" Look and see if the bottle has what kind of fiber is in that product. I get problems when I use benifiber and metamusil. I found later I can't use wheat of any kind. See if what you are taking is from a wheat plant. Wheat allergies are very common. I believe psyllium can be from different plants but the companies use one source or another. Wheat, even wheat fiber SLOWS my gut movement to a crawl! "
