Suffered from crackers & pop tarts last night

I'm an idiot. I know better than to have peanut butter crackers, cheeze-its, and cinnamon pop tarts in the house. I OD'd on them last night -- 2 pop tarts, a bowl of cheeze its, and 2 packs of peanut butter crackers. I suffered greatly with the upper abdominal swelling & pain, then all night had diahreah, probably about 5 times and once again this morning.

Gave them all away & will buy them no more as I can't control myself.

Not worth it. Don't know if it's the wheat or what.

" I gave up wheat after I pooped my pants without warning in the car- never again!
It really really helped. So far I have had attacks but not that bad. I have been wheat free for a year. I also can not eat raw veg or salads.
Hope this helps.
Cheers
Cheryl "

" Hi Cheryl, thanks for sharing that. I am mostly off wheat except for white bread & not much of that & I am doing soooooooo much better. I am also off most dairy too although I do eat eggs & they don't seem to bother me.

Boy it's trial & error isn't it? I'm glad I found something that is working for me. I'm getting tired of the same foods though, will need to experiment a bit, one food at a time (but wheat & dairy free). I ate spinach (cooked) last night, it tasted so good & went down well.

Prune juice seems to be keeping me going. Glad I don't have to take anything else. "

" My suggestion is to add cooked veg slowly - a little at a time. I always eat corn and then not again for a week or so- same with other veg. Cooked asparagus, carrots, beans great. I do eat broccoli but a lot less frequently than before. I also eat only corn tortiallas not more than once a week. I eat tons of basmatti rice. I don't eat any wheat.
Cheers

" How does the spinach and the corn work? Those are two of the foods the docs warned me against because they are supposed to be hard on the digestive tract. I too am sick of playing the same game everyday and eating pizza or chicken or fish every single night! "

" Hi again
Only cooked spinach and only cooked corn and not within several days of each other- and never during a flare up!
Asparagus has never given any trouble nor has avacado.

I am now in the middle of flare- due to stress and i ate a bit of salad- my bad!!!! ARGH! "

" I am so afraid to try any of that! (Minus the avocado- that sits well). Perhaps next weekend I will try to take one on. Thanks for the advice. "
