Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) Support Group

I have been taking Librax for about four years. sometimes I think it works but you can still expect episodes, Not sure how bad your IBS is but I average still about one episode a week and I take four librax. I also take Align and an antacid. The librax is more for the pain in this case.

Did you ever try the pamelor? I was wondering about Align also after seeing the ads on tv.

Yes I tried Pamelor but it makes me super dizzy. Even when I take it at night all of the next day I am dizzy and feel like I am going to pass out. So it is not right for me.

I haven't been on any meds for IBS before except Zelnorm and that was awhile ago.

Has anybody been on Librax and also taken psych meds? I am worried that taking it my interfere with psych meds or limit how much I can take. I read that it is part benzo. Guess I just want to see if anyone is in the same situation and what they are doing...

Dr. Put me on the drug (Amitiza) 2 a day.

Librium has some librium in it. I quit taking it because it made me very drowsy and dopey.
Probably not a good idea to mix it with any psych meds. Talk to your psychiatrist first.
