For the last 3ish weeks I haven't been making any bowel movements on my own. Before then I had nothing but diarrhea for a few weeks. Now its like I stay constipated. I feel like my body is trying to tell me something. The first week I was able to take a dose of miralax and I went for a day or two. The 2nd week the miralax didn't work so I drank some magnesium citrate, it worked long enough to clean me out. This past week I let I was hoping I would go on my own but I started hurting and cramping pretty bad. On the 5th day of not going I did a dose of miralax (did not work), the next day i drank magnesium citrate (did not work), then finally I had to resort to an Enema (it seemed to finally work. I felt like by them my body was over worked and just plain tired. So now we are on a new week of still not going on my own. I did call my doctor and she said to keep taking the over the counter meds and she gave me a new appointment. I have 2 weeks until that appointment (thats the soonest they had). I have not changed anything in my diet. Nothing new and nothing taken out.
My mom suspects I might have celiac disease (it runs in the family) and I'm gonna have tests run to check and see if I have it. I haven't started the gluten free diet yet because a lot of people told me it would screw up the celiac tests. Does anyone have any ideas on why I seem to be constipated 24-7? Or ideas on things I can try to get my body pooping on its own? Or should I just go to the hospital (ER) and have them run a battery of tests? Should I just keep doing the enemas? How often should I do the enemas? Also to add I have been stress free for about 2 months now. I know stress can be a factor sometimes. Thanks in advanced for any advice that might be given. I'm sorry to hear what you are going through. You might try calling your doctor's receptionist to see if there is a wait list you can get on in case someone cancels and she is able to see you sooner. Keep your chin up!

Have you been checked for an ovarian cyst, that could cause your symptoms?

How has your hydration been? Perhaps an increase may assist. I know the heat, along with stress and diet, effects me greatly.
