hello, i have been having a battle for two years now, and i am still not diagnosed. a few months ago i started ot think it could be endometriosis. but i am also leaning towards IC.
can you please share your symptoms ?
i have -
coldchills that radiate out, down legs and all over
tail bone pain
rectal pain
lower back pain ( further inside )
fatigue
nausea
lightheaded/dizziness/faint
leg pain
hip pain
groin and inner thigh pain
i get hot flushes inside my lower back area, the as soon as that starts it can turn into severe chills
constipation and diarreah
migraines
the pain/ache runs all up my back, causes numb ears, chills on head and tingly feeling.
bloating
preassure on vagina and irritated feeling
twitching ! in tail bone area, legs etc

i hope someone can help a little. I am due for a laproscopy soon and a hysterscopy. but i think a look inside bladder would be good too, and even a colonoscopy. im so lost !

" Hello!

Wow.. that's a lot! The only symptoms for IC I have had were burning and pressure of the bladder and urethra. I have experienced chills when in a really bad flare but that's about it. Have you been tested for a UTI or anything with your kidneys? What do the doctors think? I wish you all the best and if you need anyone to talk to I'm here!

Stacey "

" I have a lot of physical symptoms that are not exactly a direct result of Interstitial Cystitis because really that just means irritation of the bladder it is not really a diagnoses. But I started physical therapy for pelvic floor dysfuntion and my pt told me that basically it is all related. My stomach problems, bowel problems, tight pelvic floor so it hurts to have intercorse, my bladder doesn't move right and it is in a constant state of tightness, I have terrible cramps during my mestrual cycle. But pt can help I have only been to one session so we will see. I was having bad cramps in my legs and I could hardly sleep at night for the pain and I discovered I am vitamin d diffiecient so I take a vitamin d supplement.
This is just my opinion but if I were you if you do have IC start with diet and seriously think about physical therapy before medicine because it might helps you more in the long run.
Feel free to contact me if you want to talk or have questions.
Good luck
Tori "

" I have alot of those symptoms as well and got a dual diagnosis, my endometriosis supposedly has attached itself to my bladder wall causing it to not empty completely & the only course of treatment (they say) is surgery, which I am very unhappy about. I've been on Bactrim non stop for a week or so and that is getting old. Prob. going for a 2nd opinion before the week is out. Good luck to you! "
