Macrodantin and Prilosec

Hi Everyone,

My problem iw multi-system. I have high blood pressure and the new meds I have tried have given my stomach inflammation. My dr. wants me on Prilosec for awhile and I'm afraid the macrodantin won't work while I'm on the Prilosec because macrodantin needs food and stomach acid to work. The Prilosec reduces stomach acid.

Has anyone had experiece with these 2 drugs or with any others Prilosec, i.e., Nexium, Prevacid, Protonix.

Thanx so much in advance.

" I tried Prilosec thinking that if I took it before I ate acidic food it would keep my bladder from burning but the Prilosec made it burn also tried the same thing with Tums but there is some ingredients in them that my bladder reacts to. I have started taking Prelief and I have had some success. It take the acid out of food. I ordered online some powder you just add to food and drinks because I hate taking pills every time I eat. I hope that helps I don't know anything about any of those other medicines. I hope you feel better soon. "
