Naproxen

My general care practitioner gave me naproxen not too long ago for pain I have in my hand sometimes, but I have not had pain and taken it since I got it. Now I'd like to take it, but I'm a little afraid to see if it's going to cause any problems with my bladder. Does anyone else take Naproxen, and if so, how does it effect you?

" i take it from time to time. and i am fine. but different people react to it. so i think you should take prelief and then take it to see what happens. "

" If I am correct, I think naproxen is the same as Aleve. I was told not to take any type of antinflamatory because it has acid in it. You should take Tylenol if you are in pain. "

" I should clarify. When I was a child I broke my hand and it never set properly, causing the tendons to be deformed. My doctor gave me a perscription strength Naproxen because the amount of Aleve it would take to get the same effect is ridiculous. I need to take an anti-inflamatory because the tendons in my hand cause me a lot of grief during weather changes. "

" just take some pre-lief before you take it and you should be fine. i am sure from what you told me you don't have real bad pains. i would try it and then if you have a reaction suggest something else. "

" Good evening
If your bladder is not in pain, you are able to take it. One thing about people with ic, everything effects all differently. A treatment that works for me, might not work for you. Your symptoms, I bet are not the same as mine either, IC is a strange chronic illness.
Take care
