My doctor wants me to try Vesicare and I read that one of the side effects is constipation and I was wondering if anyone taking this has had this side effect?

I'm taking 10mg of Vesicare, and have been for a little over a month. It has helped my urgency and frequency a LOT. I was going about 20 times a day before, with the Vesicare, I go about 8 times a day. I haven't had any problems with constipation. I have noticed a couple things. Slightly dry mouth and I'm more tired than normal. Both of those things are minor. The relief I get from the urgency and frequency is totally worth it. But I know some people don't have great luck with it and have to try other things. Best of luck to you and I hope you get some relief!

thank miss Mishell for your reponse, I am still trying to find relief, but I have so much trouble with constipation already, that I am scared to get more constipated. I am soooo tired of the urgency and frequency!!!!!!!!

I take 10 mg. of Vesicare daily and the only side effect I've noticed is dry mouth. To ward off any constipation problems, I eat 5 dried prunes daily and stay hydrated.

Oh yes, I am always constipaded I take things help me go but I never feel 100%. I guess we have no choice. I have to take it. I hope you don't get this side affect.
