Since my diagnosis I've been trying many treatments, experiencing old conditions reappear and recently began reading the bladder book. I believe the onset of my ic symptoms was due to tibial nerve trauma/damage, but I had other prexisting health conditions ive dealt with before that. Working my way backwards from the ic onset are an ankle tendon tear, migraines, tick bites, wrist pain, Irritable bowel symptoms, Gerd, hypilori, low back hip and neck pain, and had a long traumatic birth where I was born breech. I don't know if being born breech affects the hip development, but my health condtion started going downhill with back and hip pain symptoms in highschool. The Xrays in highschool showed my hips were uneven and the pain went away most of the time. Recently prior to being diagnosed with IC a chiropractor said my pelvic xrays indicate some type of internal spasm. Upon pelvic exam I experience more pain in my bladder associated with internal pressure around the nerves on my backside, then I do with bladder pressure. I also seem to experience more flares with constipation and do not seem to have any PFD issues. Gerd and hpylori might have been associated with long term inflammation and immune response to diet. The sternum has something to do with bladder response and I experience more symptoms with bloating. Periods and ovulation tends to cause flares. I believe that we all are different and have different reasons for triggering the onset of IC symptoms. Everyone i take to has different symptoms and different histories, but we all get the same Response of IC symptoms. After all other people with ic have different symptoms and when you want to give someone change for a dollar there are many combinations of coins you could give them that will equal a dollar. So I think individually and systematically trying to treat the conditions surrounding a individuals IC will hopefully treat the IC symptoms. I can't stand paying 30,000 dollars a year in medical to treat one condition while experiencing all the sideaffects and not dealing with all the conditions and issues. So I am taking elmiron with mild relief but migraines daily and body pains, plus I started doing tens unit sessions at home, acupuncture today, and am going to make an appointment for LEAP food sensitivity testing. What are everyone else's thoughts.
