Has anyone here gone insuranceless for over 6 months then tried to get private insurance?

I have so far two companies have denied my application due to "preexisting conditions that are outside the acceptable limit of potential future medical costs."

So apparently since I have been denied, I am now a candidate for Oregon Medical Insurance Pool with a copay of $202 for their cheapest plan with the greatest deductible.

Has anyone found a company that would insure them for less than this? If so would you please share the name of the company?

Thanks

" Medicaid provides health care insurance for low-income residents through a federal and state partnership. Federal regulations provide a framework for each state to build a unique Medicaid program or State Medicaid Plan.
