I am a college student who was just diagnosed. I would like a realistic, healthy meal plan because the diet information is confusing to me. I got direct bladder treatments and am started Elmiron?? and I am wondering if I should get a second opinion (i don't know if I got the proper testing. I also am wondering if I can have sex during these treatments, thank you.

" i am having trouble sticking to the diet. i do pay for it in the long run with the pain, I was on it for awhile and lost a bit of weight, but then my life changed a bit and back to the foods ive been eating my whole life before Ic. I miss BLTs.
I had sex once a few days after my proceedure and it hurt a bit;. i think i have to take it easy the next time "

" I think everyone is different as far as the diet and IC goes. For me, the prime offenders were citrus(tomatoes, oranges, lemons) and excess sugar. If you eliminate those and still have symptoms, then possibly other fruits may be the cause. You can get vitamin c from fresh greens and peppers. Hope this helps. isabelle1954 "
