I was diagnosed almost a year ago. I have changed my diet, taken elmiron, and gone to physical therapy with minimal success. My fiance and I have not been able to have normal sex for almost two years due to PFD and vulvadynia. We might get to have actual intercourse once every other month, if we're lucky, and it's only not hurt once. It feels like I'm being ripped open and sometimes it hurts just sitting on the sofa. I've tried numbing creams, flexiril, xanax, and warm baths. I don't know how to fix it. I have various other medical conditions on top of this; basically, I feel broken. I miss being intimate with my fiance. He's been so supportive and we have found other things to do, but it's not the same. I have been going deeper into depression since this diagnosis. I have too much on my plate and I'm only 23. I need to know that it gets better. Somebody please help!

When I start feeling depressed about having the IC, endometriosis, chronic back and pelvic pain, Ecaema, and severe allergies I just think if those kids at St. judes or people that are terminal. I know that it is kind of twisted but, I just think that someone out there has it worse than I do and try to be posative.
