Just curious....

Ever since my husband & I started dating, we've always enjoyed having religious discussions. Anything from his faith's views on a certain matter to reactions of the world at large over various religious issues.

I'm just curious if any of you in Interfaith Relationships also get into discussing your beliefs with your partners?

" Me and Brian do a lot. I love learning about his religion and he loves that I actually ask him questions about it. "

" Wow! Didn't expect a reply so quickly seeing as it's the weekend and all! LOL

Have to admit that Tim's surprised me over the years with some of his questions. He says he likes talking, but that sometimes he hates when I ask a 'deep' question which he doesn't have an answer for straight away. lol

If you don't mind, may I ask what faiths you follow? "

" Me and Frank do that a lot. He's really interested in my beliefs and what I do, and I know a lot about the Bible, so we get into theroetical debates about religion. Some of them have lasted hours. :D "

" It's nice to know we're not so weird! LOL ;p

I know a lot of folks that don't care to discuss personal beliefs, but for me, it's a great way to get to know ppl and to break down the barriers. "

" me and my boyfriend are like you, i'm a Jehovah's witness and he's not. we don't tend to talk about religion that much, we have done in the past. he just knows that my religion is my thing, sometimes like xmas.. we talk about stuff. is your husband still a JW? xx "

" when we got married at first it was very hard because we both wanted one to come to the others belief system. it took many years to get to a point where we could talk about our own seperate beliefs without getting upset. now he's left the mormom church and is happy just searching and finding little by little what he believes in and I go to my church and we now can talk about all of it with out getting upset at all. it's great and now very fruitful to speak our minds without fear of getting shot down by the other "
