" yes I can relate to this - lying in bed but your mind keeps ticking. It's actually less of a problem for me now - I found to can do two things to calm the mind...read a book until my mind finally goes "ok I'm tired now, lets turn out the light and rest" or this exercise:

Turn on some very soft music, while the music is playing, take one really deep breathe than focus on breathing gentler through your nose then slowly through your mouth. Keep focusing on the speed and timing of each breathe -nothing else. I find this quite relaxing.

My trouble now is my time-management is rubbish and I'm not going to bed on time - I can sleep readily, and still somehow wake up on time, but quite sleep deprived right now. "
