What do you do at 3:30 in the morning, toss and turn in bed or just give up and switch the computer on?

i always go to the living room to turn on the t.v. It is a toss 50% of the time i fall back to sleep and 40% of the time I don't. Maube read or something that usually bores you .

If I go on the computer at night, I'm up nearly all night. Apparently the light from the monitor, affects the brain & makes insomnia worse.

Hi, I am new here .. not sleeping for 5 weeks .. 2-3 hours a night. I keep getting encouraged to 'get up and go' but I don't think anyone understands. I feel like I could faint or pass out or something cuz I am so tired. What do you guys think? Thanks .. glad to find other folks who understand.

I've been told that tossing and turning just creates more anxiety, so you should get up and do something relaxing and distracting. I usually end up on the computer, which I shouldn't. My body is SO tired, I feel so anxious that reading is out of the question. My therapist suggested "crafts" or something midnless/repetitive.....jigsaw puzzle, coloring, paint by number, beading....none have worked for me, but they may work for you. Good luck!!!
