" Now that you've been committed , you might as well take the drugs they have given you and relax.

There's nothing else you can do. They won't let you.

Good luck. "

" Carrie, Galvatron is right take the drugs and relax. I have been in the hosptial in the pysch ward also. I took the drugs and slept the whole time. Good Luck! I hope you get some relief.... I have been thinking about you for days wondering what was happening because we haven't heard from you. The doctor in pysch ward also gave me vitamins which helped maybe you could ask them for some b vitamins.. "

" I broke down and went to the pysch doctor and got seroquel. I have been taking it every night and I get 5 to 6 hours and I don't have the worry about sleeping like I used. I was like you suicidal, extreme anxiety and depressed. I had no hope and thought I was never going to get better this went on for over 3 months. I am also on ativan which I want to get off of my doctor is going to help me taper off after I get sleep for awhile. But yes I believe vitamins will help. When you don't sleep and are stressed you burn the b vitmains out quickly and if you don't replace them it makes it worse. I so hope they can help you. When I was in the ward they gave me Zyprexa, Ativan and Prozac. The Zyprexa put me to sleep for 12 - 14 hours. As soon as I got out of the hospital I stopped the zyprexa and prozac but stayed on the Ativan which was not good because I have now built up a tolerance and I tried tapering then it happened to me all over again. The ativan gave me sleep for about 2 years and this all happened. I wish I would have found this site sooner and not taken Ativan. I would have took b-complex and l-glutamine. Keep in touch and let us know how its going. Take the drugs get some sleep and eat good. "

" jenny - tried zyprexa last night and it did not help with sleep. did it help you the first time you took it or did the sedative effect take a while to take effect??? cant take seroquel due to cardiac effects. "

" What dosage did they put you on? When I was on a low dose it didn't work. Then they put me on 15 mgs and it worked. "

" Carrie. I hope you get the help you need while you are in there. Its horrendous. Ive just had another crappy week. Ive just applied for yet another job due to debt but I know i will struggle doing even more work. I have to admit that i cope much better if i take the vitamins and eat healthy. It really helps. I dont take any meds cause Im scared of them and side effects etc.
let us know how you get on. the best thing you can do now is just go with it and try to chill out. i hope you feel better soon x "
