It is a side effect in 1 out of 1,000 patients, but my advice is go see dr. anyways because the medicine can also cause other side effects that can indirectly cause hair loss, such as anemia (i think that may cause it but idk)

call and talk to you doctors nurse, again see your dr. assp, treat yourself to a wig for the hell of it try another color, check the side effect hand out that comes with the Rx.

Lexapro did this to me too--plus I broke out in a horrible rash--I have very fair skin. They took me off of it pretty fast and put me on something (can't remember) --I am not on Wellbutrin and have had no problems, whatsoever.

I agree that she should see the doctor anyway. Maybe she needs to switch her meds. Best of luck to you :)
