" Its obvious you went to the doctor so my advice to you and this has worked for me is to get a presciption for a sedative. I use valium. It relaxes you and puts you to sleep. With no after effects in the morning. Sounds like you have a stressful job.Maybe its getting to you. Are you thinking about work and things of that sort?..If you are only getting an hour of sleep i'm sure you can't function well during the day. Please talk to your doctor about a sedative. It worked for me I hope it works for you. Let me know how you are doing please. "

" Lorazepam is the only thing that calms me down enough that I can fall asleep. It does not knock you out. I've been on it 8 months and have not had to raise the dosage (0.5 mg) but I sometimes can take 1 pill and sometimes I have to take up to 3 1/2 pills depending on my stress level. It is said to be addicting so I am always trying to cut down but can't get under 1 pill yet. Once there, I go a week or so and have to raise back up to 2. For me, it started with perimenopausal symptoms...I also was on Celexa and switched to Zoloft. Celexa made me feel out of it. I take 37.5 mg Zoloft now. "

" .....I don't take 3 1/2 pills all at once...I take 1 1/2 and if not asleep in 4 hours I will take another 2 and that usually does the trick. "

I talked with a Pharmacist that told me I could take a max of 1mg of ambien, and i could actually take the temazapam with it (restoril) and it worked!! I finally slept! I have had 3 nights of sleep and I am still tired, still need to catch up on some but i am not delerious anymore :):):) yay "

" Certain anti-depressants can cause insomnia, maybe Celexa? Not sure I think i tried that one and couldn't sleep well. I'm kind of in the same boat working out meditating also not much seems to work. My Dr. just prescribed me Soma, a muscle relaxer which is helping alright "

" Stop drinking coffee and tea? We are so wired with caffeine we can't sleep when we go to bed. "
