i am 26 year old female that has a lingual hernia repaired two months ago via laproscopic. I had mesh put in along with titanium posts to keep it in place. A little over a week ago, i was doing light stretching ( the sit on the floor and put your leg out and reach forward) the next day i noticed that the area where my hernia was really hurt, it hurt to sit the most. It still continues to hurt. I went to see the surgeon who did it. he examined me for hernias and it really really hurt when he pressed down on my right side. He said he didnt feel any hernias but my pain was coming from where the edge of the mesh should be. He told me that the mesh takes up to a week to fully enclose and heal up. He told me i possibly have a muscle sprain and if it doesnt get better to come back. has anyone else experienced this?? I also have endometriosis and have had two prior laps, i cant afford to go through another lap if this pain keeps up! what should i do?!?!?
