" yeah, my H's "I'll do anything" means going to counseling, not talking to other women in appropriately, and respecting my affection boundaries (after telling him 3 times) and that's about it. It doesn't include stopping all contact with female friends, really trying to find the root of his addiction, or speaking to me honestly about what he's feeling. Oh and it does include threatening suicide when our conversations get serious.

So I agree with everyone on here. You have to see his actions, they will either back up or NOT back up his words.

Good luck. I hope your H really WILL do everything. "

" Actions do speak louder than words, and obviously your partner has already betrayed your trust with their actions. So how is it that he/can can hope to regain your trust simply with words?
They can't. The only way for them to overcome their poor actions is with strong good ones, ones that display an altered behavioral pattern for a long while to come. At least, until you can trust those actions as well as their motiviations.
Best of luck to you... "

" my experience is that they say what they think you want to hear and then they figure out a way to keep doing what they're doing without you finding out about it this time. I dont believe ANYTHING he says anymore. Verify. Verify. Verify. That's what i say. "
