http://www.dailystrength.org/c/Mem... I am planning on starting a (different) voting thread for people to come forward and post whom they would like to be the CL of this group. We can then PM and ask the DS staff to appoint him/her as the CL.. The reason I suggest to have a voting thread here is because I think it is better to arrive at one or more finalist(s) among us before we PM Paul or someone.. This would not only help us keep things transparent, but also reduce the workload of DS staff members.. Also note that when we PM for our choice, we will need to link to the fine works of that person. So it would be great if a few links could be posted where the person whom you have nominated has posted good posts.. This is of course optional.. But it would be good!! Please feel free to correct me anywhere.. If anyone is against the voting for a CL, they can post that too with reasons.. I also think would be nice if people didn't vote for themselves.. But I do not know if everyone would agree to it or not.. Also, if anyone thinks that it will cause more of a disharmony rather than good, please feel free so say so.. :) All views are welcome.. I was hoping for this thread to be a discussion thread about the voting thread.. You know, to discuss whether we want a CL like other groups or not.. And a basic set of rules and ideas.. I think we first need to decide the candidates to be a CL and a set of few simple rules for voting.. Since we can have more than one CL per support group, I would suggest the following candidates:
Lstecker DadWithHope MysteryMoon I nominate them based on their posts and active participation. I was also considering Sleepingbeauty and Wildspirit.. But I haven't seen them around.. I will search and post links to their good posts.. If others think they would like someone to be nominated, please feel free to add the names.. if the candidates wish to withdraw, they are free too.. :))

Raj, very touched that you would think of me as CL, but I would feel comfortable with passing (after the recent debacle with Morgiesdad - I feel I let down many good people on here and have some deep trust to re-earn. This is something I plan to do, but this will take time. Sending you a hug and I love the crap out of you!)
My first thought for a CL was Dad. YOu are right - he was the first one to pop into my head. If there is any voting going on, count mine as going to his. What a great idea? Let's see what everyone thinks?

Lstecker the beautiful person you are shines through - you don't have to earn back any trust with me...you never lost it. Part of being human is making mistakes. I was thinking of dropping them a hug and a link to this thread.. You know, just to spread the word.. You are absolutely right about Wild.. I learn something new from her every post!! :) Also, more suggestions are most welcomed.. This is just a discussion thread.. We can start a more organized VOTING thread once more people are informed.. It would also give us all time to select good posts by the people we recommend.. However, I should make this clear that it is not necessary that Paul and other DS would definitely appoint a CL.. They would have the final say.. But having such a thread would help in appointing CL in future too.. And subsequent CLs too.. :))

I nonimate Dody. She is a class act. And I totally agree with Dad With Hope's nomination. I feel weird about me being nominated because I have had arguements and behaved badly in the whole MorgiesDad thing!
I can be flippant and perhaps use humor innappropriately sometimes. I know I would struggle to be fair, but not sure how objective I would be. I think Lstecker is also good! I also nominate you, Raj, and I am most def not voting for me! I am honored and feel humble gratitude for being thought of!

All of the candidates mentioned so far are A-OK with me =)
I must say though that although I love all the lady candidates DadWithHope would have my vote. I think LStecker summed it up perfectly for me when she said: "Dad is so incredibly solid to me. Never wavers. Always fair. Always LEVEL." +9000!!! =)
