I am on both. I started the metformin weeks before. I take it for the insulin resistance I have. The clomid should be taken specific for you cycle. I have usually taken it, clomid, day 3-8.
Ask your Dr if you have questions, that is what they are there for. Warning if you have not taken the metformin before it has a tendency to upset your tummy with diarrhea. I had taken it a year ago & then quit. When the new RE suggested it he suggested a diet with more veggies, less meat & less fat to lessen the tummy issues. I also asked if I could ease into it by starting with a 1/2 dose the first 2 days. So, instead of 2 2x a day I did 1 2x a day & it helped some. AGAIN, ask your Dr, but just thought I would offer the warning/ suggestions. GOOD LUCK!!!
