Hello everyone-
Today I learned that one of my high school friends-my age-just had her fourth baby!!! 4th!!! I can't even have 1. I cannot believe that I have made it this far and I can still walk and talk and breathe. It's funny because when I first found out that I could not have a baby-I thought that was it and my world was over-like that is what girls are supposed to do-turn their husband into a daddy-but I couldnt. But now here I am- three years later-no baby and I am still living. We often let our infertility take over our lives- I've done it lot's of times-and I just can't live this way anymore. If I see a cute little baby-or-a pregnant woman-my life stops-I shut down for days or even weeks-I don't smile. I can't do it anymore-I want a baby-but I've already lost three years of my life waiting for it to come. And the sad thing is-those three years- have been the first three years of my marriage. I won't get those back-so how do I live without wanting what everyone else seems to get so easy??? Posted on 10/14/09, 06:10 pm |
