Femara or injections? Help!!!

AF will be coming anytime now and I have a big decision to make. My Dr. gave me a rx for Femara after clomid did not work. I think I ovulated on day 23 with one cycle but nothing else. I can try the Femara or I can wait a month and do nothing and then start injections. Do you think Femara would be worth it or should I just skip it and go for the injections? Any advice would be great. Thanks Ladies!!!

" I'm sure you have already made your decision but I was faced with the same decision. I did 4 rounds of Clomid and 1 IUI with no success. My doctor gave me the same choice, femara or injections, and it came down to cost as well. Each ampule was $43 and I have done 5 so far. He told me that I was the perfect candidate for the injections because the only problem is that I'm not ovulating. I don't know if there are any other factors in your case but apparently the success rate is very high for those that don't ovulate on their own with the injections. We're just tired of waiting for good news so we figured why not invest the money and go for the one with a higher success rate. Good Luck!! "

" I am 26 weeks pregnant after using Femara (cycle 4). So, it works and it is safe. "

" I got pregnant on my 2nd round of femara although it ended in a m/c. I had no side effects. It temporarily suppresses estrogen which in my case, caused my lining to be too thin (which estrogen supplements did not improve). After 4 rounds in total, I moved on the injections + inseminatiaon. I would suggest trying it for a couple of cycles before moving on. See if you respond and if not, go for the shots. The shots are much more expensive although pretty easy to self-inject if you are not needle phobic.
Good luck! "
