Hi there... I have PCOS too and have also been TTC for 5 years - we're in the process of trying IVF now but I've done the whole lot = clomid, metformin, IUI. We really have to try not to lose hope though - I have talked to, met, and read about loads of women with PCOS who have fallen pregnant with and without IVF. My sister for example tried for 4 years and did the whole lot and then fell pregnant on her own and has now got THREE kids! PCOS is not a death sentence but it is crap sometimes. Don't give up, there is always hope. Feel free to let me know if you ever want to have a debrief of just complain, I know what it's like to try and talk to people who aren't going through the same things as you are.

Don't give up, PLEASE. I just miscarried at 8 weeks (today :( would be 9 weeks). I feel hopeless too that I'll never be a parent. We'll take some time to rebound, discuss what we want to do next, possibly a break. However there are loads of success stories. I was diagnosed with what my doctor called a hybrid of PCOS and Amenorhea (I rarely get a period or ovulate on my own, sometimes I do and don't). I've been pregnant twice (using clomid & tomixifen) and miscarried twice. Done clomid, injections, 1 rd of IVF (which failed), etc.. While amazingly frustrating, sad, and gut wrenching I'll never stop trying till I know I've given it my all. Then I'll walk away knowing I did everything I could and it just wasn't meant to be.

Thanks for your replies. I have PCOS and don't ovulate or have a period on my own without meds. I tried one round of IVF and 1FET and it was negatiive :( Looking into adoption right now.. I have 7 embies frozen.. I don't know if I should give it another try... is it even worth it.. I know ppl with PCOS have an even lower chance of conceiving than those who atleast ovulate with meds.. am I right?
