Yes, that is correct. I did my lupron in my upper thigh, also. It doesn't matter that it is not near your ovaries.....it will get into your system as long as it's given subcutaneously. I found the easiest way to do it was to sit on the bed so there is a litle meat to poke it into on the side. Hope that helps!

Common injection sites are the tummy and thigh. Mine seem to hurt less in the tummy.

I did my Follistim and now my progesterone into my thighs. This way it goes directly into the muscle. You can't really mess it up. I do them myself and just go slowly with putting the needle in. Then my husband pushes the plunger down slowly because sometimes it hurts and if I did it I would stop when I felt the pain. The muscle can get really sore so keep ice and the heating pad at the ready. If you're unsure ask your doctor's office to draw circles on your thighs where you should be injecting.

I did my Lupron in my thighs for my last cycles. Next go around, Im using my tummy. I remember my diabetic dr told me that injections in the tummy work faster. I would think Lupron in the tummy would work more effecient since it's close to the ovaries!

I also did my shots in my tummy. It didn't hurt to bad but that wad my doctors instructions. GL

I used my belly. I don't have much meat on my thighs either and the belly really didn't hurt.

Hey, it was a sinch, I numbed up with an ice pack, loaded the syringe, capped it and handed it to Mr wonderfully perfect(until this stuff kicks in), and looked at a photo of my childhood home as he did the work, and
taa daaa, I'm slightly less of a big baby.

Physically it was a thing of nothing, mentally I felt really sick for a few hours.

Hopefully this time next week I'll be able to think about having a go....
...just don't you go emailing my man that I said that, I may have a change of heart and want to milk the needle fear for all the attention I can...

I had my husband stick me in the tushy. It hurt a little more than the tummy, but I couldn't see the bruises that way.
