Infertility Support Group

I am starting Lupron around Nov 18th....is anyone worried about doing ivf through the holidays? I have been so worried it is not the right time since it is so stressful already.

I was totally stressing about doing our first cycle over the holidays, so my husband told his bitch of a mother, and I told my sisters in law.
My family live at the otherside of the Atlantic, so that's that sorted.

They're all really understanding, apart from my evil MIL who is doing her very best to disrupt the whole process by booking herself in for a very long overdue hip replacement the week before Xmas...oh and she's attempting to commondere my husband to do all her to and froing...bollocks to that.

So anyway, back to the point.

I'm taking the opportunity to not cook for anyone and have cancelled Christmas, we'll only be getting gifts for the children and everyone else can understand or lump it.

I am putting myself into this wonderful mental state of putting me and my husband first, and not giving a damn about other peoples fickle wants.

Just call me Scrooge.

But don't get me wrong I'm not a misery fest, if my husband wants to go somewhere, off he goes and if I feel able I'll go too.
It's all about me being reasonable with my body by being a boring old fart.

Okay so yeah, I was worried about it, so I'm making sure it's not going to be an additional problem.

kelw- I start my lupron on Nov 17 and felt the same way. A little apprehensive about the holiday stress. But I have been and will remain determined to not let it get in the way of my baby. hopefully it works out in our favor. Good luck to all

I started Lupron on 11/11. I'm worried about the holiday stress, but I'm learning to use the word "No" this year. I can't be everywhere at once.

Started Lupron nov 5th.
got AF today,
going in for U/S & BW on thur 19th, Should start Gonal-F then.

not feeling too positive, this 20% chance of success feels a little too slim to me.
Have a feeling I'm going to be a full time IVFer until I complete menopause (2years max).

I've bought all my christmas cards and have begun writing them out.
& I have done almost all my Christmas shopping!!!
I think it's going to pay off to be as organised as possible to avoid any silly stressings.

I only have to buy something small to post to my brother, and a little extra nothing for my nephew to go with his main gift.

And of course decided on what to get the wonderful Mr. Moi...and where to hide it this year!
I'm thinking a punch bag and gloves or set of new weights to make a start on that basement conversion by means of encouragement and reward.
It's all about making a happy home.
And of course some extra nice things to show appreciation for how well he's done this year with supporting me as he should (don't ever take it for granted) and how well he's done with becoming more healthy.

I have spent the whole day thinking nice thoughts.
Little ones, and many of them.

That time my dad took me to work and we did this, that time my mum took me to work and we went there, that time my brother stuck up for me when we were kids, that time my grandparent showed me so much love, the fun we had the first time we went to that, and all the warmth and security in a hug....
...it's helping me stay saine.

US&BW for baseline yesterday went well.
