Taking Estrace / Estradiol

So I'm getting ready to start my 3rd IVF try at the end of Feb. I got all of my meds today and was going over things because I start Lupron on Jan. 26th. Anyway, the 2 tries before this, I was also taking Estrace (Estradiol is the generic name for it) and this 3rd try I was given it again BUT it's saying to take vaginally. I compared bottles, the pills are exactly the same as last just different instructions. The 2 times before I was taking it orally so I'm a little perplexed that a drug I've taken orally in the past now comes with instructions to take vaginally. I emailed my IVF coordinator and am waiting to hear back. I thought in the meantime I'd throw it out there to see if anyone had this scenario...

OMG how funny. I just posted a discussion about this. My Re called today to have my continue taking my estrace orally, but to take one pill vaginally at night. I thought this was odd since I didn't do this with our fresh transfer. At least we know were not alone, or out of our minds!

I will be taking it orally with my FET soon, hopefully, but my RN did mention that if my results i.e.: lining thickness isn't where they want it quickly enough, that they suggest that I take it vaginally, apparently it "gets there" faster and in a "higher" dose/quality then through the bloodstream. I'm sure their just trying to give you the BEST possible results. Which is a good thing, although yes it is kinda weird, but then a lot we have to do is. You should have seen my DH face when she said that too...too funny! And immediate "boost" in appreciation for what I'm going through.
