Hey, I have a question that I shouldn't ask, must less probably consider. Here's a quick background......4 IFVs, 6 IUIs, 2 yrs of oral meds, etc, never been preg. I am on Premarin, Parlodel, and Femara right now. This is a new combo for me and I really am doubtful that it'll work since nothing else ever has.....negative, I know. Femara has never made me form follicles and Premarin has never built my uterine lining, but the estrogen patch did build my lining during 2 of my IVFs. Here's my ?......I go to the RE this Thursday for a possible IUI.....if I actually have follicles and a lining. The chance of follicles is raised since Parlodel has been added to my system. I know my lining is not formed so I am thinking of wearing an estrogen patch til Thurs. AHHH. stupid? risky? HELP!

I know that when my Dr. had me on femara she put me on oral estrogen after my trigger. She said that estrogen will sabotage follicles if they wern't mature, that's why she started me after trigger. I don't know a lot about the patch but I would think it would have the same efffect. I really think that the extra meds you have been on the last few months may really give you some awesome results!!! Keep me posted on how your app. goes :)

Hmmm...odd that I've been on oral estrogen for months and months if it sabotages follicles!?! That might explain the past 3 years of my life!! ha

I would be careful to go outside the realm of the doctors orders (although I have been tempted, too). Does your doctor do any lining checks before the IUI? Maybe you could call and ask for one today or tomorrow so if they needed to add a medication there would be time.
