everyones situation is different and just as painful as anyone elses but was wondering if there is anyone out there who as a couple the only problem is DH has low count. In Feb. it will be 4 years since we've been trying to conceive. and God has blessed me with not having to go through some of the horror stories I've heard other women are dealing with. But with DH having low count we've been told our chances are low and we aren't doing IVF just a few IUI's left. So I guess with all that said I'm looking for some new friends who are in the boat with me.

Im sorry that you and DH are experiencing such a hard time. IF is very hard to deal with as it has so many roller coaster rides to get on. I dont have any sperm, well DH doesnt have any sperm issues, it's a tubal issue for me but I wanted to wish you the best of luck with TTC!!! And Im sure there are women here that can give you advise.

We were married for 3 years having unprotected sex asssuming we would get pregnant by "accident"...lol And that never happened so after 6 months of "trying" we went to OB who seemed concerned that after 3.5 years we werent pregnant she sent us to an RE. Our issue ended up being male factor. Low sperm count, low motility and low morphology. We did 3 IUIs that all resulted in BFN's...but our RE did not reccomend IUI. He wanted us to straight to IVF with ICSI we just couldnt right away bc our insurance didnt cover it at the time and we couldnt afford it. We waited a year, changed our insurance to one that covered IVF and with our first IVF cycle got a BFP.
Can I ask why you are not doing IVF and only IUI??

we've just decided that IVF isn't for us for personal reasons. our doctor told us he woule try IUI and then would reccommend IVF but we haven chosen not to go that path. We've done two IUI's so far and have 1 to 2 left and then i'm guessing we will go to adoption. I'm guessing with male factor that there isn't anything else to do? thanks for the encouragment, is there anyone else out there with only low count??

My DH has slow motility and morphology issues. RE recommended we try IUI's before IVF. We didn't want to try IVF for personal reasons also but we might consider it if IUI's don't work...praying about it. I have not had an IUI yet, first one will hopefully be at the end of the month. I am currently being tested for PCOS so that is probably contributing to our IF probs. Keep trying my sis in law got a BFP on her 5th IUI with injectables. They now have twins beautiful boy and girl! There is hope!

My DH had surgery to get rid of veins that may have been causing blockage. It increased his count by a couple million but not much.

Our only issue initially was male factor - count and motility, so we also started with IUIs. We got pregnant on the 5th round, but, unfortunately, it was ectopic, which then caused female factors. We moved straight to IVF and are now 8.5 weeks preggo. If it is only the count that is an issue for you, that is good news, because it only takes one! As my re: told us - you can do it - you just have to get all the players in the right place! Good luck to you!
