I have to insert a pill vaginally tonight to open my cervix.(sorry for TMI) The Re said to expect lots of cramping. ARRRR. I am afraid of the Anesthsia, I'm supposed be getting the Twightlight, it allows to dream while you are under...? HELP!!!

" I had it done in July they found uterine polyps and we are hoping this will end my recurrent miscarriages. It was an easy procedure I was under they put a little camera in through your cervix and look around. I didn't have any pain and the bleeding stopped the same day. No cramps or nothing. He then saw the polyps and decided to fix it right then and there. Good luck and I hope it brings answers like mine has. "

" I had this done earlier this year. It wasn't bad at all. I had very mild cramping and just took a Tylenol and was fine. I definitely got myself all worked about it for nothing. Any new procedure is scary. But it really was nothing. I hope you have the same easy experience. "

" I have had this procedure twice. I was so interested in getting to SEE the image on the screen I really wasn't concerned with the procedure itself.

Neither time was painful for me.

They will probably recommend Advil or Tylenol if you do have discomfort. "

" Hysteroscopy is EASY! I have had 2. Minimal bleeding can be expected afterwards. I think I bled and spotted for about 3-4 days this last go around, but I was annovulatory and my lining was THICK.

You will seriously go in and then be awake without realizing it ever happened. Good luck to you! "

" Sounds like you're having an Operative Hysterscopy? I had a Diagnostic one and it was more weird and uncomfortable then painful. I felt like a water balloon which one should never feel like but...I did have some crapping after, more during, but nothing Tylenol, took a couple before and then after too. I went back to work afterwards and was fine the next day. Good luck! "

" I've had 2. The first one was in the hosital and I was knocked out and didn't feel a thing. I felt fine afterwards. The second one was done in the dr. office and all I took was 2 tylenol before and they didn't knock me out. Now that one was the most painful thing I've experince (except my 2nd miscarriage) As long as they give you someothing to sleep you will be fine, I promise!! Both times I was fine about an hour after the procedure was over.Be happy they are giving you anesthsia!! "
