My husband had 2 SA done with the 1st doc with zero sperm count. Nothing else was done so we changed doc and had another count done which was zero also. We had bloodwork done which showed Low testosterone levels. They expained that LTL can cause low to zero counts. So they started him on Androgel 3 days ago to increase TL which will produce sperm. Has anyone had a success with this drug b/c i have read that this lowers count!

" My DH's counts were a little low and recently at his annual physical they checked his testosterone. It was "low normal" and the GP wanted to start him on Androgel. I checked with our RE and they said "NO" because it could lower sperm counts. So I would check with your RE...but maybe it is different if the count is already zero ? Not sure, but good luck! "

" My husband was on this for low testosterone and the minute we told our RE this he said STOP IMMEDIATELY. i t can kill your count and on top of it if you as a woman touch him within 6 hours of him putting it on it can cause even more serious fertility problems for yourself. Testosterone is horrible for women. I would get a 2nd opinion right away, but from everything i have heard and from what our RE siad DO NOT USE IT "

" DO NOT LET HIM TAKE IT ANYMORE!!!!! I can't even tell you how it messed up my husband. We had a doc give that to my hubby due to the low testosterone as well and it TOTALLY wiped out the sperm that he did have. The RE tells us now that the Androgel was the cause and he should have never been on it. Please find a new doc!! Message me if you have any questions, but PLEASE do not let him continue taking it, its gonna make it worse. "

" My husband had low testosterone also and was on androgel and testim. Needless to say, we are still infertile. So I don't think that will increase his sperm count - it will increase his testosterone level which will give him more energy and more sexual desire, but not the count. "
